A large percentage of marriages end in divorce. Large numbers of people who marry, see their marital dreams shattered. Many people regret marrying the person they did. Many men and women are known to have begun planning their weddings even when they have a sense at the time that "it's not right;" and similarly, many people even "walk down the aisle" with a foreboding feeling about the marriage, even before it begins, to find after the wedding that indeed it did not last.

Many couples begin "living together" before marriage to "make sure it will work out," only to experience divorce after they do marry. Living together to "make sure.." seems to have some logical wisdom; however, there are research findings which document that the divorce rate among those who live together first is 76%!

In America, probably most couples who marry are "in love" with one another; yet, as the statements above indicate, "in love" is obviously not a permanent state of mind.
